| Men's U20s and AA8s Grand Finals this Saturday |
The Men's Super League Under 20s Grand Final takes place this Saturday with Uni looking to do the "Double Double" as they take on Penrith Nepean United at Melita Stadium.
As I'm sure most of you know, the team were Premiers and Champions last year and it was Uni first and daylight second in the league this year.
Penrith have won three straight in the final series knocking out Sydney Wanderers, Bossy (on penalties) and St George along the way. Uni have only played one game in the finals, securing a Grand Final spot with a 1-0 win over St George in the Major Semi with James Pearce the goalscorer on his birthday.
The two teams only met once during the season, with Uni coming out triumphant 2-1, with Julius Wolf and Adrian Hammond the scorers.
Kick-off is at 12.30 so get out to Granville to cheer on Glen and the boys, then stop by the Nags on the way home for a celebratory ale.
Also on Saturday, the Men's AA8s look to do the double with their Grand Final kicking-off at 2.30pm at Hensley Park. Michael Fotheringham is certainly a player to watch. He is the Club's No. 2 goal scorer this season with 16 goals.
So let's go Uni and bring home two more pieces of silverware for the trophy cabinet (although at the moment the cabinet consists of just my desk and I really can't afford the space, but go on and win anyway).
